The Winner Takes It ALL and Who is the WINNER?

Recently I posted about the ABBA song called "The Winner Takes It All" on my Korean blog. I particularly like the Meryl Streep version from the movie Mamma Mia. She just sings so beautifully. Actually more than singing. She conveys her heart with the lyrics and that is what I like about it.

The lyrics are as below.

Who is the WINNER

Who is the WINNER?

A few weeks ago I was in a meeting with a group of meditation people. One of the members there was talking about 'winners' and 'successful people.'

"I really think all of you are winners. I truly believe that. You are the most successful people in the world."

She continued,

"Because you are the ones who know who you really are and the reason and purpose of life."

There are many people who become successful and rich. However, if you don't know who you are and why you exist, then what would all the success and wealth mean to you?

The world is changing fast and now we call this time 'the era of old age.' People's life expectancy is on the rise and more people are into learning and developing their skills and trying to maintain their health to live longer healthily. And the question of "How to live" is becoming more important.

I think the answer to "How to live" can come naturally when you first know "Why we live."

The meditation I do is about discarding your human mind to find your true nature which is the infinite Universe and it helps you find the answers to both.

By throwing away the false human mind that has been blocking your true original mind, you can understand who you really are, which is the Truth, and from there, you come to know why you exist as well as how to live.

It can be quite challenging at times because it is a real fight within yourself. In the book called "The Living Eternal World" by Teacher Woo Myung, the founder of this meditation also says;

"There is Truth and falseness within man, and the battle between this Truth and falseness is what this meditation is about. If Truth wins, then one will go to the eternal, true Paradise while one is alive. If Truth loses, one would not become reality but would be falseness; he would forever be dead."

I agree with what was said in the meeting about the most successful people. The one who has become the Truth, the one who knows who s/he truly is and understands the reason and purpose of our existence.

Yes, the winner takes it all. There is a saying that even if you know all the knowledge of the world, if you don't know the Truth, you know nothing. Whereas even if you are a mere fool, if you know the Truth, you know it all.

The good news is that everyone can become a winner now because it is not a battle against anyone. It is a battle inside your mind (some could say it can be harder for that reason, oops) and now there is a simple method to follow.

The song is more about who is going to win the man but let's enjoy the song as the song and for us, let's become the real winner!
