How to Create a Korean Language Help Video using AI Programs

Updated: May 29, 2023

Today I came across this Youtube video that explained how to create a language-learning video clip using AI programs such as ChatGPT and Vrew. Wow, a whole new world!

I thought I'd give it a go and make a Korean language help video for my friends who might be interested! The video was about 20 minutes but of course, it took me much more than 20 minutes. Anyway, I thought I'd share how I did and what I came up with.

Learning Korean basic sentences

Creating Youtube Video using AI programs

First, I asked ChatGPT what are the basic Korean sentences that Korean language learners need to know. Then, with what it gives you, you copy and paste the words to Vrew, the AI video-making program. You set the AI voices to your choice and add images, background music, etc. Finally, you download it, make a thumbnail using Canva and upload it on your Youtube Channel.

Although it may seem simple, (and it is simple once you know) but it took a while for me to figure out a few things as I was learning through the youtube video.

Here are the sentences I used in the video if anyone is into learning basic Korean sentences.

Basic Korean Sentences covered in the video are as below.

안녕하세요? (annyeonghaseyo?) - Hello?

제 이름은 ___입니다. (je ireumeun ___imnida.) - My name is ___.

만나서 반갑습니다. (mannaseo bangapseubnida.) - Nice to meet you.

어디에서 왔어요? (eodieseo wasseoyo?) - Where are you from?

저는 한국어를 배우고 있어요. (jeoneun hangukeoreul baeugo isseoyo.) - I'm learning Korean.

이해할 수 있어요? (ihaehal su isseoyo?) - Do you understand?

네, 조금은요. (ne, jogeumeunyo.) - Yes, a little bit.

죄송합니다. (joesonghamnida.) - I'm sorry

이해할 수 없어요. ( ihaehal su eopseoyo.) - I don't understand.

천천히 말해 주세요. (cheoncheonhi malhae juseyo.) - Please speak slowly.

다시 한 번 말해 주세요. (dasi hanbeon malhae juseyo.) - Please say it again.

고맙습니다. (gomapseubnida.) - Thank you.

감사합니다. (gamsahamnida.) - Thank you.

천만에요. (cheonmaneyo.) - You're welcome.

미안합니다. (mianhamnida.) - I'm sorry.

괜찮아요. (gwaenchanayo.) - It's okay.

Well, this is what I came up with. If you are about to learn Korean, hope this helps!
