Yay, I'm well on my way to reaching 1000!
I am using this language learning app called Duolingo, and each day I complete a lesson, my streak continues to add up. Right now, I am on an 893-day streak! Well done me! lol.
I am feeling pretty proud of myself for maintaining this consistency over the past two years. .
Duolingo is a language-learning platform
Duolingo is a popular language-learning platform that offers courses in more than 40 different languages, including Spanish, French, German, English, and Korean among others.
You can choose one or even multiple languages to learn. I chose Spanish simply because I love Argentinian Tango and it is widely spoken in South America.
Benefits of using Duolingo for Language Learning
The courses are designed to help learners develop skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking, and they include a variety of exercises and activities that help students practice their language skills.
I spend about 10min to max 30min each day on it but I am just doing it for fun learning only, nothing serious.
What I like about Duoling is that it provides a gamified and interactive approach to language learning and it makes the process a bit more engaging and effective. Well, for me, it works.
With each lesson I complete, I earn points and unlock new levels, which keeps me engaged and eager to keep going. It gives me a sense of achievement. Plus, the app is so convenient – I can do a lesson anytime, anywhere, which means I can fit language learning into my busy schedule. I can do it while waiting for the train or bus, or while waiting for a friend at a cafe.
Free vs. Paid Duolingo subscription
Duolingo is free to use, but the number of lessons you can do each day is limited, and you might see ads at the end of each lesson. I don't mind it, so, it's been great for the past two years just using it as a free app. However, if you upgrade to the paid subscription, you get unlimited sessions and an ad-free experience. I guess you could choose the paid subscription if you are more serious about learning the language.
I highly recommend Duolingo to anyone looking to learn a new language for fun.
Whether you're a beginner or an advanced learner, Duolingo has something to offer everyone. So why not give it a try and see how far you can go?
Who knows – maybe you'll even end up with an impressive streak count like me! Ha Ha!
