Today was a beautiful day in Sydney, the temperature was just right and the clouds in the sky made it perfect for outdoor activities!
[Latest Update 22nd June 2024: It seems now the cafe has permanently closed.]
So, I decided to hop on my bike and head over to the Armory Wharf Cafe in Newington Armory. This hidden gem of a cafe is nestled in one of the most picturesque locations in Sydney, with a park on one side and a river on the other. Simply beautiful! It is just the perfect place to relax and unwind, especially on a day like today.
I parked my bike and walked around a bit taking pictures for my blog. Then I ordered one of my favorite drinks, the chai latte, and settled into a seat with a view.
There was a nice breeze and I wanted to stretch out my arms over my head. It was then I realized I had been wearing my helmet the whole time. Oops!
But it did make for a cute photo opportunity, with my helmet next to my delicious drink. Ha Ha.
From inside the cafe, you can see both the park side and the river side, offering a stunning panoramic view. The ambiance of the cafe is very relaxing and laid-back, perfect for a peaceful afternoon.
However, it's important to note that the Armory Wharf Cafe is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, so be sure to check their schedule before making a visit. They also close at 2pm on weekdays and at 2 30pm on Saturdays and Sundays. So if you like to have lunch there, then be sure to get there early.

Sat-Sun 8 30am - 2 30pm

The location of the cafe is truly special.
(so, even if the cafe is closed, you can still enjoy beautiful nature. Well, maybe not with a coffee...)
On one side is the park, where you can enjoy the greenery, have a picnic or a barbecue, and even take a bike ride on the bike path. On the other side is the river, where you can watch the water flow and feel the gentle breeze.
You might be wondering why it's called the Armory Wharf Cafe. Well, the location of the cafe is within the Newington Armory, which was once a military armament depot. The armory played a significant role in Australia's history, supplying munitions to the military during World War II. Today, it has been transformed into a beautiful parkland, with the Armory Wharf Cafe as one of its popular attractions.
In conclusion, the Armory Wharf Café is an amazing spot for anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing experience surrounded by nature.
Just make sure to check their schedule before making a visit, and don't forget to take off your helmet before taking photos of your drinks!
Eung, looks very good !
